Brendan Brandt is the founder and Managing Partner of Epsilon. Brendan has successfully grown the firm from a one-man shop to its current state. At Epsilon, he is tasked with corporate strategy, business development, and client advisory.
Leah Jennings is a Vice President and the Managing Partner's Chief of Staff at Epsilon where she provides operational and strategic support and leadership to both clients and internal staff. Prior to joining Epsilon, Leah worked as a Client Specialist at Baird. She holds a B.B.A. in marketing from Virginia Tech University.
Ximena Vaca is a managing director and head of capital markets at Epsilon where she leads the firm's practice and assists clients and staff on capital intensive and advisory engagements. Prior to joining Epsilon, Ximena was Chief Executive Officer at Sierra Morena Development Co and was previously a Senior Vice President at FBR Capital Markets. She holds a B.A. in economics and international relations from Tufts University.
Senior Political Analyst
Eric Miller is a senior political analyst at Epsilon where he provides geopolitical research and insights into their impact on global M&A. Prior to joining Epsilon, Eric worked for the U.S. Department of State, Marine Corps University, and as a congressional analyst focused on an AFRICOM and EURCOM. He holds two M.A. degrees in both international relations and diplomacy from New York University and the American Graduate School in Paris France.
Bayasa Ren is a director at Epsilon where he assists clients on sell-side and advisory engagements. Prior to joining Epsilon, Bayasa was most recently a Senior Manager at the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) and was previously a Senior Research Officer at International Monetary Fund (IMF) with the debt and financial instruments division. Bayasa holds an M.A. in Policy Economics from Williams College and an MBA from the University of Oxford Said Business School.
Camille Darling is a director for distribution at Epsilon where she manages relationships with institutional and strategic corporate acquirers. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in foreign affairs with a focus on the Middle East. Prior to joining Epsilon, Camille worked at Calvert Investments, one of the oldest mutual funds in socially responsible investing. At Calvert, she served under the president as the special projects coordinator and assisted in the acquisition by Eaton Vance in addition to the resolution of two SEC orders.
Jeremy Smith is a managing director at Epsilon where he leads the firm's M&A practice. Prior to joining Epsilon, Jeremy was an officer in the US Navy and Latin American equities analyst for Citibank. Jeremy holds an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business, an M.A. in international affairs from Catholic University, and a B.S. in economics from the United States Naval Academy.
Andrew Hoey, CPA
Andrew Hoey is a director of M&A at Epsilon. Prior to joining the firm, Andrew was most recently an equity research associate at Piper Sandler, a middle-market investment bank and equity research firm where he covered the energy sector. Previously, Andrew was an analyst for Blackstone in their Private Equity Group, assisting on complex transactions, valuations, investment monitoring and portfolio maintenance. Andrew holds a B.S. in Accounting from Bentley University and an MSA from the University of Notre Dame.
Jack Kaplan is a director at Epsilon where he assists clients on sell-side and advisory engagements. Jack received his MBA from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary in Virginia. Prior to pursuing his MBA, Jack worked for Accenture Federal Services for 5 years as a Management Consultant in the government consulting marketplace in Washington, D.C. Jack also holds a B.A. from Virginia Tech.
Vivek Nair, Esq.
Vivek Nair is a seasoned global markets professional who is tasked with growing Epsilon's network and developing the firm's partnerships around the world. Prior to joining Epsilon, he worked as a member of General Motor's legal team and as a Senior Consultant for Navigant. Vivek obtained his MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and his B.A. in Economics and Business from Kalamazoo College. Vivek is a licensed attorney in Michigan.
Baruch Esparza is an accomplished M&A executive with a successful track record of leading deals globally. At Epsilon, he is tasked with advising clients in relation to the acquisition or divestiture of businesses and business assets. Prior to joining Epsilon, he held executive-level corporate development positions and Lehigh Hanson, Walmart, Iron Mountain, and Briggs Equipment. A native Spanish speaker, Baruch is quadrilingual. Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. He holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the Technology Institute of Monterrey and an MBA from Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business.
Eugenio Briales is director in Epsilon’s capital markets practice. He has more than a decade of experience in international and domestic capital markets, capital raising, M&A, restructuring and financial services at Citibank, DLA Piper, the International Monetary Fund, and the IFC-World Bank. Eugenio holds a B.A. in public policy and M.A. in finance from Georgetown University as well as a J.D. from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Eugenio is fluent in English, German, and Spanish.
Chris Harkins is a distribution director with Epsilon. His business experience comes from more than 30 years in B2B sales and management, as well as both the residential and business brokerage field. Chris holds a B.A. from the University of California Santa Barbara and also currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the Colorado National Kidney Foundation.
Dave Stricker has over 25 years of leadership experience in the Insurance, Technology, and Biotech industries. He has been involved in start-up organizations as well as leading operations in excess of 100 employees. Prior to Epsilon, he was President of FirstCity Insurers and previously Executive Vice President of St. James Insurance Group. His background includes mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing leadership, and new business ventures. He has a B.A. in History from Loyola University and a M.S. in Business from Johns Hopkins University.
